    Title
FLI has been recognized nationally and locally as a model program to increase diversity in the legal profession. In 2004 the American Bar Association awarded FLI its prestigious Partnership Award, recognizing innovative diversity initiatives. In 2007 FLI received a Diversity Dollars Grant from the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, one of only 10 recipients nationwide honored for outstanding programs to increase diversity in the legal profession. FLI has also been recognized locally by the Asian Bar Association of Washington, receiving its Program of the Year Award in 2003.

The winners were recognized at the annual meeting of the National Conference of Bar Presidents, the National Association of Bar Executives and the National Conference of Bar Foundations in Atlanta on August 6. Many thanks to Ginna Owens, who wrote the award-winning nomination, and to all those committed to making FLI a successful program.
