Welcome to the Future of the Law Institute (FLI) website. FLI is a year long program for minority and economically disadvantaged high school students interested in learning more about a career in the law. FLI provides students with substantive legal workshops, career counseling, a mock trial, courthouse tour, and opportunities to meet with legal professionals. Students will also be matched with an attorney, judge or law student mentor for the school year. Additionally, FLI offers competitive paid and unpaid summer internship opportunities in law firms and courts. Participants can win a scholarship of $500 if they go on to attend a vocational school, community college or a university and $1,000 if they go to law school. Finally, all participants receive the FLI Newsletter with news of law related scholarships, events and interviews with local legal professionals.
